Stifel analyst Chris O’Cull raised the firm’s price target on Planet Fitness (PLNT) to $90 from $85 and keeps a Hold rating on the shares after the gym operator pre-announced full-year metrics in conjunction with presentations at the ICR conference. Comp sales should accelerate sequentially in 2025 because the average monthly due will increase as a larger percentage of the membership base will have a higher-priced rate and if comps do not accelerate, it will likely be due to fewer gross joins, which “would be disappointing given the new initiatives,” the analyst says.
