Nvidia (NVDA) has acquired synthetic data firm Gretel for nine figures, exceeding Gretel’s most recent valuation of $320M, Wired reports, citing two people with knowledge of the deal. Gretel and its team of roughly 80 employees will be folded into Nvidia, where its technology will be deployed as part of the chip company’s suite of cloud-based, generative AI services for developers, the sources say.
