UBS analyst Brennan Hawken lowered the firm’s price target on Northern Trust to $105 from $108 and keeps a Buy rating on the shares. Trust banks are likely to prioritize preserving capital in the face of market uncertainty and while they are beneficiaries from a flight to quality, it would be prudent to reduce share repurchases this year, the analyst tells investors in a research note.
