Nissan (NSANY) is slashing production levels at a joint venture manufacturing plant in Mexico, operated with Mercedes-Benz (MBGYY), by roughly 50%, Nikkei Asia’s Azusa Kawakami reports. The move comes in an effort to reduce costs amid a slump in U.S. sales for the automaker’s Infiniti luxury vehicles.
