Nintendo’s (NTDOY) Switch remake of “Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door” finished May atop the Japan sales charts, Gamesindustry.biz’s Sophie McEvoy reports. The title nearly matched the success of the original version released on the GameCube in 2004, the author says, citing the latest data from Famitsu. McEvoy noted that the newer version of the game is also availably digitally, and those sales are not accounted for by Famitsu. Meanwhile, Sony-published (SONY) “Stellar Blade” was the second-best selling video game in Japan last month, followed by Nintendo-published “Endless Ocean: Luminous,” the author says.
