In a video posted on its official YouTube channel, Nintendo (NTDOY) confirmed that its successor to the Nintendo Switch will be calleed the Nintendo Swich 2. In the video, during which the game maker showcased some of the new hardware changes and confirmed backwards compatibility with the original Switch, the company indicated that the console would come out in 2025, and that it plans to host a Direct presentation getting into more of the details, including software, on April 2, 2025. In addition, the Switch 2 console in the ad appears to be playing a new “Mario Kart” game.
