Nike has laid off workers in its European headquarters as part of a multiyear cost reduction plan, Bloomberg’s Kim Bhasin and Lily Meier report, citing people familiar with the matter. The sportswear company’s Hilversum, Netherlands campus is home to over 2,000 staff, the authors note. Nike is cutting roughly 2% of its global workforce as part of a plan to reduce costs by about $2B, the authors say, noting that about 750 workers were let go at its Beaverton, Oregon offices.
