Netflix plans to scale back its annual movie output and, as a result, is restructuring its film unit, with moves to combine units that produce small and midsize pictures, Bloomberg’s Lucas Shaw reports. The restructuring will result in a "handful" of layoffs as well as the departure of Lisa Nishimura, who is responsible for documentaries and smaller-budget films, and Ian Bricke, a VP in the film group, the report says.
