Goldman Sachs analyst George Tong raised the firm’s price target on MSCI to $582 from $510 and keeps a Neutral rating on the shares after its Q2 earnings beat. The company’s results signal a stabilization of estimates, mitigating the prior quarter’s concerns over the medium-term growth outlook for ESG, the analyst tells investors in a research note. While uncertainty over ESG growth near-term is not yet fully resolved, healthy ESG and Climate revenue growth in Q2, along with constructive commentary from management on the structural relevance of ESG and ongoing client interest in ESG solutions, temper the firm’s growth concerns in this business, Goldman Sachs added.
