Morning Movers: Mobileye jumps following Volkswagen ADAS partnership

Stock index futures are pointing slightly higher following yesterday’s rally. Investors continue to assess the potential impacts of President Trump’s tariff plans, which have introduced uncertainty regarding future trade relations.

In the commodities market, gold prices have edged higher amid ongoing tariff uncertainties and their potential effects on the global economy. Spot gold rose 0.3% to $3,020.73 an ounce, reflecting investors’ inclination toward safe-haven assets during periods of economic ambiguity. Oil prices have experienced a slight uptick, marking the fifth consecutive day of gains, which is being attributed to U.S. tariffs on Venezuelan crude buyers. Brent crude futures are trading at $71.91 per barrel, while U.S. West Texas Intermediate crude stands at $68.08 per barrel.

Investors are also closely monitoring upcoming economic indicators, including the U.S. Federal Reserve’s preferred inflation report, the Personal Consumption Expenditure index, due later this week.

In pre-market trading, S&P 500 futures rose 0.24%, Nasdaq futures rose 0.23% and Dow futures rose 0.17%.
