Morning Movers: AMD gains following $4.9B pact to buy ZT Systems

HIGHER –

  • AMD (AMD) up 2% after announcing the signing of a definitive agreement to acquire ZT Systems for $4.9B in cash and stock
  • Xperi (XPER) up 19% after disclosing that it entered into an asset purchase agreement with Amazon.com (AMZN) Services pursuant to which buyer has agreed to purchase and assume from Perceive substantially all the assets and certain liabilities of Perceive for $80M in cash, including a holdback to secure the company’s and seller’s indemnification obligations
  • FuboTV (FUBO) up 19% after District Judge Margaret Garnett ruled in favor of the company on Friday by issuing a preliminary injunction blocking Fox Corp. (FOXA), Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) and Disney (DIS) from launching their Venu Sports streaming service one week before its launch

LOWER –

  • Liquidia (LQDA) down 36% after announcing that the FDA has granted tentative approval of Yutrepia inhalation powder to treat adults with pulmonary arterial hypertension and pulmonary hypertension associated with interstitial lung disease
  • HP Inc. (HPQ) down 2% after Morgan Stanley downgraded the stock to Equal Weight from Overweight with an unchanged price target of $37
  • B. Riley Financial (RILY) down 11% after confirming on Friday that its board has received an unsolicited preliminary, non-binding letter of proposal from the company’s founder, chairman and co-CEO, Bryant Riley, to acquire the outstanding shares of the company not currently owned by Riley, in a transaction to take the company private, at a proposed purchase price of $7.00 per share
