After Meta (META) announced it is testing incorporating eBay (EBAY) listings into Facebook Marketplace in the U.S., Germany, and France with the purchase flow to be facilitated through eBay, Morgan Stanley analyst Nathan Feather argues that “this could prove to be a win-win partnership” if rolled out, with eBay gaining incremental distribution while Meta better monetizes Marketplace. Multiple unknowns exist but the scenarios the firm analyzed point to a range of 0%-9% lift to eBay EBIT, says the analyst, who has an Overweight rating and $70 price target on eBay shares.
