Snowfall and conditions season-to-date at Vail Resorts (MTN)’ resorts indicate potential for strong visitation this holiday season, especially compared to last year’s challenging start, Morgan Stanley tells investors in a research note. Season-to-date snowfall as of December 22 is up about 50% year over year at Vail’s major resorts, Morgan Stanley says. The firm sees a near-term positive trading opportunity, with the company’s mid-January update setting up to be an important catalyst. The firm has an Equal Weight rating and $197 price target on the shares.
