Morgan Stanley analyst Shawn Kim and the Asia Technology team at the firm said their channel checks indicate potential contract price bottoming for DRAM by June this year. Producer inventory peaked this quarter, while all DRAM customers declined in March led by smartphone, which are factors that "still indicate to us a rate of change that is improving and it’s still the early stages," the firm tells investors. Memory semi makers that may be impacted by DRAM pricing dynamics include Western Digital (WDC), Micron (MU) and Seagate (STX).
