Truist analyst Peter Osterland initiated coverage of Minerals Technologies (MTX) with a Buy rating and $103 price target The firm believes that Minerals’ differentiated mineral reserves, engineering capabilities and technical know-how, and dominant market positions in its core products, create “a competitive moat that is underappreciated in the company’s current valuation multiple,” the analyst tells investors. The firm sees potential for Minerals to drive sustainable mid-single digit top-line growth and sees “modest upside” to consensus estimates in 2025-26, the analyst added.
