Microsoft’s (MSFT) AI head Mustafa Suleyman is creating a team that will focus on consumer health by hiring staff from a similar unit he previously led at Google’s (GOOGL) DeepMind, Madhumita Murgia of The Financial Times reports. Recently, Suleyman has hired Dominic King, who was the former head of DeepMind’s health unit, as vice-president of Microsoft AI’s new London-based health team. Additionally, Suleyman poached Christopher Kelly, a clinical research scientist at DeepMind, as well as two others from his time at the AI-startup.
