Microsoft has updated its Designer AI image generator to prevent users from creating images resembling celebrities in explicit scenarios, Carl Franzen of VentureBeat reports, citing 404 Media. The updates come after an explicit series of deepfakes of Taylor Swift, that 404 Media traced to Microsoft’s Designer AI, began circulating around several website and social media platforms. When VentureBeat asked about the updates, Microsoft said, “We are committed to providing a safe and respectful experience for everyone. We are continuing to investigate these images and have strengthened our existing safety systems to further prevent our services from being misused to help generate images like them.”
