Microsoft approves up to $60B stock buyback, raises quarterly dividend 10%

Microsoft announced that its board of directors declared a quarterly dividend of 83c per share, reflecting an 8c or 10% increase over the previous quarter’s dividend. The dividend is payable Dec. 12, 2024, to shareholders of record on Nov. 21, 2024. The ex-dividend date will be Nov. 21, 2024. The board of directors also approved a new share repurchase program authorizing up to $60B in share repurchases. The new share repurchase program, which has no expiration date, may be terminated at any time.
