MetLife is pursuing a takeover of Hayfin Capital Management, a private credit specialist that started weighing a sale last year, Bloomberg’s Gillian Tan and Davide Scigliuzzo report, citing people with knowledge of the matter. The insurance giant is in discussions over a deal that could value Hayfin at over EUR 1.2B, or $1.3B, the authors say, noting the talks are ongoing and may not result in a deal. MetLife shares are up 1% in afternoon trading.
