Meta (META) plans to launch a standalone Meta AI app in Q2 and test a paid subscription service for Meta AI, CNBC’s Jonathan Vanian reports. According to people familiar with the matter, the Meta AI app marks a major step in CEO Mark Zuckerberg’s plan to make his company the leader in AI by the end of the year, ahead of competitors such as OpenAI and Alphabet (GOOG) (GOOGL).
