Meta (META) has entered a preliminary deal to sell a new, lower-priced version of its virtual-reality headset in China, Raffaele Huang, Liza Lin, and Salvador Rodriguez of The Wall Street Journal reports. The agreement with Tencent Holdings (TCEHY) will make it the exclusive seller of Meta’s headsets in China, people familiar with the matter told the Journal. Tencent is expected to begin selling headsets in late 2024.
