Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg met with President-elect Donald Trump on Friday, in part to mediate a 2021 lawsuit Trump brought against Meta over his account suspension after the January 6, 2021 riot, The Wall Street Journal’s Meghan Bobrowsky, Rebecca Ballhaus, and Annie Linskey report, citing people familiar with the matter. Among the options for resolution is a monetary settlement. Zuckerberg, who has majority control of voting shares of the $1.5T company, has been invited to the January 20 presidential inauguration, a Meta spokesman confirmed on Monday, though he didn’t say whether the CEO would attend.
