McDonald’s (MCD) is being sued over its college scholarship program for Latino students a week after the chain said it would roll back on a range of diversity initiatives, Theo Francis of The Wall Street Journal reports. The lawsuit was filed by the American Alliance for Equal Rights, which is run by Edward Blum, the activist whose lawsuits led the U.S. Supreme Court to end affirmative action at colleges nationwide.
