Premium customers have sued Microsoft’s (MSFT) LinkedIn, alleging that the social media platform shared their private messages with third parties without consent to train generative AI models, Reuters’ Jonathan Stempel reports. The proposed class action, filed on Tuesday night on behalf of millions of LinkedIn Premium users, claims that last August, LinkedIn discreetly introduced a privacy setting allowing users to opt in or out of sharing their personal data.
