Barclays lowered the firm’s price target on J.M. Smucker to $123 from $132 and keeps an Equal Weight rating on the shares following the fiscal Q4 report. The most interesting part of the earnings call call was Smucker’s forecast for 2% year-over-year comparable sales growth in fiscal 2025, consisting of both positive volume/mix and price, which is not a combination heard lately from others, the analyst tells investors in a research note. The firm says this has “sparked some skepticism.”
