IBM to slow down, stop back-office hiring, Bloomberg reports

IBM CEO Arvind Krishna says the company plans to slow or stop back-office hiring, impacting roughly 26,000 staff, Bloomberg’s Brody Ford reports. Krishna said in an interview that "I could easily see 30% of that getting replaced by AI and automation over a five-year period," equating to about 7,800 jobs lost. Part of any reduction would include not replacing roles vacated by attrition, an IBM spokesperson said. Reference Link
