HSBC (HSBC) is slated to buy Citigroup’s (C) China consumer wealth management unit, which manages over $3B in assets, Reuters’ Selena Li reports, citing two sources with knowledge of the matter. The deal, financial details of which are not yet known, will also see HSBC taking over “a few hundreds” of Citi’s China-based workforce, the author notes.
