Google intends to appeal a ruling from Judge Amit P. Mehta of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia saying that the technology giant acted illegally to maintain an online search monopoly, TechCrunch’s Kyle Wiggers and Rebecca Bellan report. The ruling from Mehta is a major blow for the Alphabet unit that could alter the way it does business and potentially alter the structure of the internet as we know it, the authors note.
