Google (GOOGL) agreed to pay Samsung (SSNLF) $8B from 2020 to 2023 to make Google Search, the Play Store, and Assistant the default on Samsung’s mobile devices, according to testimony presented by Epic Games, Bloomberg’s Malathi Nayak and Leah Nylen report. Epic, the maker of the popular Fortnite game, alleges Google’s app marketplace violates antitrust laws. Investors in Epic Games include Tencent (TCEHY), Disney (DIS), KKR (KKR), and Sony (SONY).
