Earlier this year, Alphabet’s Google offered to sell its advertising marketplace AdX in an effort to assuage EU competition worries over its adtech practices, though the proposal got short shrift from European publishers, Reuters’ Foo Yun Chee and Jody Godoy report, citing two people with direct knowledge of the matter. Last year, the EU charged the search giant with favoring its own ad services, opening its fourth case against the company, the authors note.
