Google’s (GOOGL) failed deal with Wiz, and with HubSpot (HUBS) before that, puts Google in an awkward spot to grow Cloud, Bloomberg’s Parmy Olson reports. Olson writes that Wiz, according to people close to the company, walked away from Google not as a negotiating tactic, but because its founders genuinely want to become as big as rival Palo Alto Networks (PANW), which has a market cap of $100B. Going forward, Google must now find another route to augmenting its lagging cloud business and Wiz must also live up to the very high expectations it has set for itself.
