Goldman Sachs (GS) is planning to nominate Tom Montag to its board of directors, Joshua Franklin of The Financial Times reports. Montag is a former partner at the firm’s trading division and, up until recently, was a top executive at the Bank of America (BAC). His appointment to the board would bring more trading and risk management expertise, areas the CEO and board members have been trying to address, one person with knowledge of their thinking told the Times.
