Goldman, JPMorgan, Citi, Bank of America pressured by activists, WSJ reports

Goldman Sachs (GS) and JPMorgan Chase (JPM) are being pushed by right-leaning activist groups to abandon or shrink their diversity, equity and inclusion, DEI, efforts, AnnaMaria Andriotis and Alexander Saeedy of The Wall Street Journal reports, citing people familiar with the matter. Meanwhile, Bank of America (BAC) and Citigroup (C) are being pressured by activists accusing them of discriminating against customers over their religious or political beliefs. The various groups each own small stakes in shares of the targeted banks and submitted proposal challenges to their business practices last year, the sources told the Journal.
