GM reduces China headcount as it resets operation there, Bloomberg reports

U.S. auto maker General Motors (GM) has been reducing headcount in China and is said to be teaming with its parnter in the region, SAIC (SAIC,) for an ‘overhaul’ of its operations there, Bloomberg reports. The American auto giant is reducing headcount, “including research and development,” added Bloomberg, citing people familiar with the matter…Other publicly traded companies in the space include Ford (F), , Honda (HMC), Mercedes-Benz (MBGYY), Nissan (NSANY), Stellantis (STLA), Tesla (TSLA), Toyota (TM) and Volkswagen (VWAGY).
