Generac sees major demand for backup generators during heat wave, Bloomberg says

Generac is seeing increasing demand for its backup power generators in Texas amid a heat wave, Bloomberg’s Mark Chediak reported this week. “We’ve seen a dramatic increase in the Texas region in sales leads for our generators and battery backup systems,” CEO Aaron Jagdfeld said in an interview, adding that “Texas has been a great market for a long time, so this will only add to that in the future.” Shares of Generac hit a four-month high last week when the state asked consumers to conserve power during the heat wave to prevent blackouts.
