After a string of recent close calls and a number of potential flight safety incidents in recent months, Southwest acknowledged air-safety regulators are launching an audit and said it has been working closely with the Federal Aviation Administration in reviewing recent episodes. reported The Wall Street Journal’s Alison Sider and Andrew Tangel. “This group is tasked with performing an in-depth, data-driven analysis to identify any opportunities for improvement. Nothing is more important to Southwest than the safety of our customers and employees,” the airline is quoted as having said.
