Barclays says the expanded partnership between Microsoft (MSFT) and Oracle (ORCL), which places Oracle database products in Azure, is a “win-win” since it incentivizes cloud migration of enterprise workloads while also defending against encroachment from Amazon Web Services (AMZN) and even Google Cloud Platform (GOOG, GOOGL). The pact will expedite cloud migration for both companies and help them better compete against the likes of AWS and GCP, the analyst tells investors in a research note.
