In January, new EU car registrations declined by 2.6%, according to the ACEA. The bloc’s major markets saw declines, with France down 6.2%, Italy down 5.8%, and Germany down 2.8%, while Spain conversely recorded a 5.3% increase, the group reported. Publicly traded companies in the space include Ford (F), General Motors (GM), Honda (HMC), Mercedes-Benz (MBGYY), Nissan (NSANY), Stellantis (STLA), Tesla (TSLA), Toyota (TM) and Volkswagen (VWAGY).
