In August, new EU car registrations saw a sharp decrease of 18.3%, with negative results across the region’s four major markets as double-digit losses were witnessed in Germany, France, and Italy, and the Spanish market declining by 6.5%, according to the ACEA. Publicly traded companies in the auto space include Ford (F), General Motors (GM), Honda (HMC), Mercedes-Benz (MBGYY), Nissan (NSANY), Stellantis (STLA), Tesla (TSLA), Toyota (TM) and Volkswagen (VWAGY).
