Loop Capital analyst Laura Champine lowered the firm’s price target on Etsy to $70 from $90 and keeps a Hold rating on the shares. The firm is updating its model, noting that while it still expects significant adjusted EBITDA margin expansion from 27% this year to 31% in 2027, its previous target of 35% doesn’t seem reasonable given increases to customer acquisition costs and product development cost, which it believes to be “permanent”, the analyst tells investors in a research note. Loop is also citing the “cloudy” macro outlook in its price target cut for Etsy.
