Activist investor Elliott Investment Management has built a position in Johnson Controls International (JCI) and the hedge fund’s stake is worth more than $1B, putting it among the top 10 investors of the company, people familiar with the matter told Bloomberg’s Crystal Tse. Peers such as Carrier Global (CARR) and Lennox International (LII) have seen their stocks appreciate more than 50% in the past year, while Johnson shares had risen 9.2% during the same period, the report noted.
