Edison sued over role in Los Angeles wildfires, Bloomberg reports

Edison International’s (EIX) Southern California Edison utility faces a lawsuit filed in the Los Angeles Superior Court on behalf of a group of homeowners, renters, business owners and others with properties destroyed by the Eaton Fire in the Pasadena area, reported Bloomberg’s Jef Feeley, Mark Chediak and Malathi Nayak. The suit, which Bloomberg describes as “the first of what’s expected to be thousands of legal claims tied to the fire,” alleges a pole holding power lines was the cause of the fire that has leveled the community of Altadena and is still raging, the report noted.
