Wedbush analyst David Chiaverini lowered the firm’s price target on East West Bancorp to $57 from $58 and keeps a Neutral rating on the shares. East West’s quarter was solid and most of its FY23 guidance was reiterated, but deposit growth was negative in the quarter and below the firm’s forecast driven by a decline in noninterest bearing deposits, the analyst tells investors in a research note.
