BMO Capital analyst James Thalacker raised the firm’s price target on Duke Energy to $126 from $120 and keeps an Outperform rating on the shares. The firm adjusts its model with mark-to-market relative to the company’s peer group multiples while also citing the Piedmont Natural Gas comprehensive settlement agreement with the North Carolina Utilities Commission, the analyst tells investors in a research note. The management’s regulatory execution over the last several years is a significant positive for the story given improved ROEs/equity layers, longer duration, and reduced regulatory lag, the firm added.
