The Justice Department filed a complaint in federal court in California seeking to block HP Enterprise’s (HPE) planned acquisition of Juniper Networks (JNPR), arguing the tie-up would harm competition in the market for enterprise wireless equipment. The DOJ claims in its lawsuit that the deal would consolidate the sector from three major players, HP Enterprise, Juniper and Cisco Systems (CSCO), down to two.
