Disney (DIS) and Charter (CHTR) are nearing a deal to put an end to a blackout fight that has been ongoing since late August, sources told CNBC’s David Faber. The companies are expected to reach a deal that would allow millions of Charter cable customers to watch “Monday Night Football,” which airs on Disney’s ESPN, the report noted. Terms of the deal were unclear Monday morning, noted CNBC, which points out that shares of Disney’s media peers, including Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) and Paramount (PARA), have traded higher on Monday morning following Faber’s report.
