Evercore ISI analyst Amit Daryanani raised the firm’s price target on Dell Technologies (DELL) to $165 from $140 and keeps an Outperform rating on the shares. The firm understands that Dell has won a large portion of business for Tesla’s (TSLA) AI server buildout, which it says would be incremental to the company’s current $2.9B AI backlog. While the firm says that its impression is that Supermicro (SMCI) has won some of the Tesla AI server business as well, allocations are “heavily skewing” towards Dell, according to the firm, whose analysis suggests this presents a roughly $2.5-$3.0B revenue/order opportunity for Dell, potentially in calendar year 2024.
