DA Davidson says Amkor Technology shares are down over 16% today after providing softer than expected Q3 revenue and earnings guidance. However, the firm’s view on the company’s earnings per share power of $2.25 in 2025 is unchanged, and it expects the stock to “recover nicely in the coming quarters.” The Q3 outlook does not include a meaningful uptick in iPhone sales, and when artificial intelligence-enabled iPhone unit sales ultimately ramp, Amkor will be a “big beneficiary be it this fall or next fall,” the analyst tells investors in a research note.
