Speaking at Needham Growth Conference, D-Wave Quantum (QBTS) CEO Alan Baratz discussed Nvidia (NVDA) CEO Jensen Huang’s comments on the usefulness of quantum applications being years away. “I strongly disagree with the statement. The problem is that Jensen has assumed that all quantum is the same but is not. There are different approaches to quantum, which he doesn’t understand. Annealing is commercial today. Not 15-30 years from now. Today.” D-Wave also said that regarding integrating of quantum and AI, they’ve “done very interesting work and getting some early results showing we can train models faster.”
