CVS Health is cutting 5,000 jobs to reduce costs, WSJ reports

CVS Health is cutting about 5,000 jobs to reduce costs, Ngai Yeung of The Wall Street Journal reports. The majority of jobs affected are corporate positions and the company doesn’t expect customer-oriented roles to be affected in the layoff plan. CVS CEO Karen Lynch said in a staff memo that these changes would enable the company to “be at the forefront of a once-in-a-generation transformation in health care.”
